Recent Asphalt Project in Olathe, Kansas

We were recently contacted by a customer in Olathe, Kansas, regarding an expansion of their driveway to accommodate an RV. After a thorough consultation, it was decided to extend the asphalt by an additional 51x9 feet. Our asphalt installation process in the Kansas City area is as follows:
- Excavation and Preparation: We begin by excavating the designated area, removing all grass, and grading the sub-base. A herbicide is applied to prevent future vegetation growth.
- Road Base Installation: We then install a layer of crushed concrete road base, ensuring it is thoroughly compacted for stability.
- Asphalt Installation: Finally, we lay down over 2 inches of hot mix asphalt and roll it to achieve optimal compaction.
In addition to the new installation, the customer opted to refresh the existing driveway. This included applying a hot rubber sealant to fill any cracks, followed by a high-quality asphalt seal to enhance durability and appearance.
